There is no one size fits all when it comes to Nutrition and your Health which is why it is so important to find out what fits you and your needs. What is healthy and what is good for you can be confusing especially with everything you see in the Media; low-fat, no-fat, low carb, sugar free, wholegrain, no grain, vegan, meal replacement, high protein, 30 day and even 12 week plans that are out there no wonder if can seem like a mind field. What works for one person, does not work for another and finding what is right for you, will help you create a healthy lifestyle that you can carry throughout your life.

My name is Katrina Stewart, as well as being Found & Head Coach at CrossFit Encircle, I am also a Qualified Nutritionist with a double doctorate in Nutritional Medicine and Naturopathy and a Masters in Human Nutrition. What I have learnt from the start of my CrossFit Journey and my studies is if your daily food consists of different sources of Protein which will assist and encourage muscle repair, a plate full of non starchy vegetables, some fruits, nuts and seeds and no processed sugars or foods then you are doing well.
Your goals may be to lose weight, gain muscle, have more energy in the Gym, stop Yo-Yo dieting or assist performance in your chosen sport and/or job. It may be one, or it may be all of the above or it may be more serious, you may be a person like I once was; obese to the point where my body was so inflamed, disease had set it. Incorrect lifestyle choices can lead to you falling from wellness to illness without you even realising.
Your body is your vehicle for your life.
It can:
Nutrition does not discriminate. Generally people eat between 35-40 meals (including snacks) per week. That is 35-40 times per week you are either assisting your health and well-being or damaging your health and well-being. If you are filling your diet with nourishing, well balanced foods to fuel your life, then you are assisting your health and well-being. If not, then I am afraid it is that you could be inviting inflammation and illness in, without even knowing it.

That is the reason for my studies as while food assisted in my multiple obese related diseases, it also healed me and I would love to help you create a lifestyle that you can live with day in day out and still enjoy FOOD.
